1. What type of tours do you offer?

I specialize in arranging City Walks with a personal touch for smaller groups (max 10 people). My goal is to offer a more personal alternative to the big standardized tourist tours, such as those offered by cruise lines and visitor boards.

2. When are the tours held?

All my City Walks are held year around at a day and time of your choice. This makes them ideal for weekend visitors and cruise travelers with a limited amount of time to spend. Not only do you get excellent help with making up your own itinerary, you also get to know a native Stockholmer who will show you around.

3. Where do the tours start?

The tour "Old Town Delights" (Historic City Walk in the Old Town) and the tour "Southern Heights" (Historic City Walk of Södermalm) both start at Katarinahissen, which is the large outdoor elevator near Slussen.

The tour "City Combo" (Historic Walk of the Old Town and Södermalm) starts at the Obelisk by the Royal Palace and the Cathedral in the Old Town (Gamla Stan).

4. How many people are needed for a tour?

I specialize in arranging private walking tours for smaller groups of no 4-10 people (smaller groupspay the minimum group price, which equals 4 paying participants). Those who enjoy my City Walks are people who do not want to participate in the "bus and rush tours" or larger traditional guided tours. They also appreciate the conversational style and the personal touch as well as the chance of getting to know a local.

8. Where do cruise ships dock in Stockholm?

Stockholm has three main harbors, all located within the city limits. Ships dock at Skeppsbron, Stadsgården and Frihamnen.

If your ship docks at Skeppsbron, the Old Town is right at your feet as you get off. Only really small cruise ships dock here though. From Stadsgården it's a 20-30 minute walk along the quay with a beautiful view over the city (or a 5 minute ride by bus or taxi). Frihamnen is a bit further from the downtown area, the harbor is located about 20 minutes away by bus or taxi.

For current information on where your cruise ship docks, go to the Ports of Stockholm website and look under "Cruise liner traffic" in the menu to the left. Or use our Quick Links in the meny to the right.
